If you received a February 2023 data-breach notice from Purpose Financial (Advance America), you could collect up to $5,000 for documented losses or cash payments estimated at $50–$100. Submit a claim online or by mail no later than February 2 2026.

Do You Qualify?

You are a “Settlement Class Member” if:

  • You lived in the United States; and
  • Your name and Social Security number were stored in Purpose Financial’s compromised files; and
  • You received the official breach-notification letter sent in 2023.

The following are not eligible: the presiding judge and family, Purpose Financial officers/directors, and anyone who timely requests exclusion.

How Much Money Can You Get?

  1. Out-of-Pocket Losses – up to $5,000
    Reimbursement for unreimbursed fraud costs, credit-freeze fees, professional fees, credit-monitoring expenses, postage, notary, and other reasonable costs dated on/after Feb 7 2023.
  2. Pro-Rata Cash Payment – ≈ $50
    All valid claimants receive an equal share of the remaining fund after other deductions; amount may go up or down.
  3. California Resident Bonus – ≈ $50
    Additional cash for class members who lived in California when the breach occurred.
