Who Is Eligible?

  • Undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in at least one on-campus course during Spring 2020.
  • Did not withdraw on or before March 18, 2020.
  • Paid any portion of tuition or fees from a source other than scholarships, grants or tuition remission.
  • Have not already received a full refund from Penn College.

Approximately 3,800 students are expected to qualify.

Settlement Benefits & Payout Structure

  • Total fund: $1,850,000
  • Attorneys’ fees (up to): $616,666.66
  • Class representative award (up to): $7,500
  • Estimated pool for students (before admin costs): $1,225,833.34
  • Payments will be divided equally among all eligible class members (pro-rata).

No proof or claim form is needed—checks will be mailed automatically. Students may choose Venmo or PayPal by submitting an Election Form.

How & When Will I Get Paid?

  1. No action is required for a paper check—payment will be sent to the last address on file.
  2. To receive Venmo/PayPal or update your address, complete the online election form.
  3. Payments are expected about 60 days after final court approval and resolution of any appeals.
