Why the Lawsuit Settled
Plaintiffs alleged that Higher Tech Realty LLC (Mark Spain Real Estate), eXp World Holdings Inc., Weichert of North America Inc. and Atlanta Communities Real Estate Brokerage LLC conspired to require home sellers to pay buyer-broker commissions, inflating rates and violating the Sherman Antitrust Act. The defendants deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation risk and expense.
