Background of the lawsuit

Plaintiffs alleged that Sport Squad, Inc.—maker of JOOLA pickleball paddles—marketed its Gen 3 paddles as approved by USA Pickleball Association (USAP) when they were not. Sport Squad denies all wrongdoing. No court has ruled on the merits; the parties agreed to settle to avoid continued litigation risk and expense.
