Maciejczyk v. First Commonwealth FCU Data Breach Settlement

If you live in the United States and received a data-breach notice from First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union (“FCFCU”), you could get cash payments, three years of credit monitoring, or both. Eligible class members must file a claim by February 18, 2026.

Who Is Included?

The “Settlement Class” covers approximately 98,817 individuals whose private information—such as names, Social Security numbers, financial or driver’s-license data—was accessed in FCFCU’s recent cyberattack and who were sent a breach notification.

Not eligible:

  • FCFCU directors, officers, agents, and affiliates
  • Governmental entities
  • The presiding judge, immediate family, and court staff
  • Anyone who submits a valid request to opt out

Available Benefits

  • Cash Payment A – Documented Losses: Up to $5,000 for unreimbursed, out-of-pocket costs traceable to the breach (proof required).
  • Cash Payment B – Alternate Cash: Estimated $100 if you prefer not to document losses.
  • Credit Monitoring: Three years of CyEx’s Identity Defense Complete (can be selected in addition to either cash option).

All payments may increase or decrease pro rata, depending on how many valid claims are filed.
