The “Settlement Class” covers all individuals whose private information MMC said may have been compromised in the April 2023 data breach, regardless of whether they actually received or opened the mailed notice. Excluded are MMC’s officers and directors, anyone who opts out, the presiding judge and family, and any person criminally involved in the breach.

Your Options
- File a Claim – Get the benefits listed above. Must be signed and submitted/postmarked by 4/14/2026.
- Exclude Yourself – Keep your right to sue MMC individually, but give up settlement benefits. Send a signed opt-out request by 12/15/2025.
- Object or Comment – Tell the Court why you support or oppose the settlement by 12/15/2025.
- Attend the Hearing – Speak (optional) at the final approval hearing on 1/16/2026.
- Do Nothing – You’ll forfeit compensation but will still be bound by the settlement’s release of claims.
Court & Attorneys’ Fees
The Court in Rutherford County, Tennessee will decide whether to approve: (1) up to $350,000 in attorneys’ fees and costs for Class Counsel, and (2) service awards up to $3,000 each (total $24,000) for the named plaintiffs. These payments will not reduce the money available to class members.
