In re: Fortive Data Security Litigation Settlement

If you received a notice that your personal information may have been compromised in the Fortive data breaches between January 25 and November 6 2023, you could be entitled to free three-bureau credit monitoring, up to $5,000 in expense reimbursements, lost-time payments, and a cash award of at least $5. by December 19 2025.

Who Is Eligible?

All individuals listed in Fortive’s class list whose data was exposed in the two incidents underlying In re: Fortive Data Security Litigation, Case No. 2:24-CV-01668-RAJ (W.D. Wash.). Excluded are persons who opt out of the settlement.

What Benefits Can Class Members Receive?

  • Credit Monitoring: Three-bureau monitoring & up to $1 million identity-theft insurance for 3 years.
  • Out-of-Pocket Losses: Reimbursement up to $5,000 for documented expenses fairly traceable to the breach (e.g., bank fees, fraud losses, credit-freeze costs).
  • Lost Time: Up to 4 hours at $20/hour for time spent addressing the incident.
  • Cash Payment: Pro-rata share of remaining funds — no less than $5 — automatically awarded when you file any other claim type.

Important Deadlines

  • Opt-Out & Objection Deadline: November 21 2025
  • Claim-Filing Deadline: December 19 2025
  • Final Approval Hearing: January 9 2026 at 9 a.m. PT

How to File a Claim

  1. Visit the official settlement site and choose online or paper submission.
  2. Provide your Claimant ID (from your notice) and contact details.
  3. Select benefits and upload supporting documents for expenses or lost time.
  4. Submit online or postmark the paper form by December 19 2025.
