Why is there a settlement?
The nationwide class action In re: ZF-TRW Airbag Control Units Products Liability Litigation, Case No. 2:19-ml-02905-JAK-JPR, alleges that ZF-TRW airbag control units (“ACUs”) installed in many Hyundai and Kia vehicles are vulnerable to electrical overstress, potentially causing airbag non-deployment during a crash.
