Grocery Delivery E-Services USA Inc. Restitution Program Settlement
California consumers who unknowingly paid for their first HelloFresh shipment and later canceled may be entitled to a cash refund. Submit a claim by December 17, 2025 to secure your share of the settlement.
Why is there a settlement?
The People of the State of California sued Grocery Delivery E-Services USA Inc., doing business as HelloFresh, alleging it failed to provide clear consent and disclosures for automatically renewing meal-kit subscriptions. While HelloFresh denies any wrongdoing, it agreed to modify its practices and fund restitution for affected customers.
Who qualifies for restitution?
- You lived in California and enrolled in a HelloFresh automatic-renewal subscription between January 1, 2019 and August 18, 2025;
- You were charged for the very first shipment without your knowledge or consent;
- You canceled the subscription after receiving that first box; and
- You never obtained a refund for those initial charges.
What can you receive?
Eligible class members will receive a cash reimbursement for the unauthorized first-shipment charge. The exact amount depends on the number of valid claims filed.
