Forbes Media $7.5M Video Privacy Class Action Settlement

If you held a Forbes online or mobile account—or subscribed to a Forbes newsletter—and watched a video on forbes.com while logged in to Facebook between July 25, 2020, and December 1, 2022, you could receive up to $15. Submit your claim by November 4, 2025, to secure your share of the $7.5 million fund.

Who Is Eligible?

  • Forbes.com U.S. online account holders, mobile app users, or newsletter subscribers between 07/25/20 and 12/01/22.
  • Maintained an active Facebook account during the same period.
  • Viewed any video on forbes.com from the same device and browser used for Facebook.
  • Were physically located in the United States at the time of viewing.

Payout Details

Each approved claimant will receive an equal, pro rata share of the net settlement fund—estimated up to $15. The final amount depends on the number of valid claims after deducting administrative costs, attorneys’ fees (up to $2.5 million), and service awards (up to $5,000 each) from the $7.5 million pool.

How to File Your Claim

  2. Provide your Facebook account name and ID.
  3. Choose a payment method: PayPal, Zelle, Venmo, or paper check.

Important Deadlines

Payments are expected about 70 days after final approval and any appeals are resolved.
