Figueroa v. Pret A Manger (USA) Limited Wage & Hour Settlement
If you worked for Pret A Manger (USA) Limited in New York between February 15, 2019 and February 1, 2024, you may be entitled to a cash payment from a proposed $1.2 million class action settlement. Who Is Included?
- NYLL Class Members: Non-exempt employees who worked in any Pret location in New York State from 2/15/2019–2/1/2024.
- NYCFW Class Members: Non-exempt employees who worked in a New York City Pret location from 7/22/2021–2/1/2024. (All NYCFW members are also NYLL members.)
Settlement Benefits
- Total fund: up to $1,200,000.
- Payouts calculated by weeks worked during the class periods.
- Service awards: $5,000 each to class representatives Chris Figueroa and Curtis Cruz.
- Attorneys’ fees: up to one-third of the fund ($400,000) plus costs, subject to court approval.
Key Dates
- Claim / Opt-Out / Objection Deadline: January 2, 2026
- Checks mailed: Within 30 days after final court approval.
- You must cash your check within 180 days of issuance.
Your Options
- Submit a Claim: Receive payment and release wage & hour claims through 9/10/2025.
- Do Nothing: Give up the right to sue later, but receive no money.
- Exclude Yourself: Keep the right to sue Pret separately—no payment from this settlement.
- Object: Tell the Court why you disagree (you must still file a claim to get paid).

You will release your wage & hour claims against Pret through 9/10/2025 but receive no payment.
