EyeMed Vision Care Data Incident Settlement
If you received a notice that your personal information was exposed in EyeMed Vision Care’s June 2020 data breach, you could receive cash payments and expense reimbursements from a $5 million class action settlement. Eligible class members may claim an estimated $50 cash payment, up to $100 for lost time, and up to $10,000 for documented losses. Submit a claim online or by mail by December 11, 2025.
Who qualifies?
You are a class member if:
- You reside in the United States; and
- EyeMed sent you a letter notifying you that your personal data was impacted in the June 2020 incident.
Those who opt out of the settlement, certain EyeMed insiders, and the presiding judge’s family are excluded.
Available benefits
- Pro-rata cash payment (estimated $50): Paid after other claims and costs, and adjusted up or down depending on participation.
- Lost-time reimbursement: Up to four hours at $25/hour (maximum $100) for time spent responding to the data breach.
- Out-of-pocket expenses: Up to $10,000 for unreimbursed monetary losses such as fraud charges, credit monitoring, professional fees, travel, postage and similar costs reasonably traceable to the incident.
