Why is there a settlement?
A lawsuit alleged The Daily Wire, LLC violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act by sharing subscribers’ video-viewing data with Facebook without consent. The company denies wrongdoing but agreed to a $2 million settlement to resolve the case and avoid continued litigation costs.
