Why Was There a Lawsuit?

Plaintiffs alleged that CLMG and CTH Rentals charged excessive fees and used unlawful debt-collection tactics on rent-to-own storage building contracts, violating multiple North Carolina statutes. The companies deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid ongoing litigation risks.
