Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Bohannon v. Lyon Real Estate settlement about?

The lawsuit alleges Lyon Real Estate failed to adequately safeguard personal data exposed during an April 18–May 4, 2023 cyber-attack. Lyon denies wrongdoing but agreed to a $637,500 settlement to resolve the claims.

How much can I receive?

You may claim up to $10,000 in documented losses plus five years of credit monitoring. California residents may receive an additional statutory cash payment projected at $250 (subject to pro-rata adjustment).

Do I need proof to file?

Proof is only required for documented loss reimbursement (e.g., receipts, bank or phone records). Credit monitoring and California statutory payments generally need only your Notice ID, PIN, and (for CA payment) a residency attestation.
