Aura Frames BIPA Class Action Settlement

If you opened an Aura digital photo frame account in Illinois between July 16, 2019 and November 4, 2025 and Aura collected facial-matching data from your photos, you could receive up to $13.28. Submit a claim by February 2, 2026 or risk losing your cash payment.

Future Privacy Protections

Aura stopped collecting facial-matching data on December 7, 2023, and must continue this pause unless it:

  • Provides Illinois users with Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) compliant notices and obtains written consent, or
  • The BIPA statute is changed or struck down.
