Future Privacy Protections
Aura stopped collecting facial-matching data on December 7, 2023, and must continue this pause unless it:
- Provides Illinois users with Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) compliant notices and obtains written consent, or
- The BIPA statute is changed or struck down.
