Why Is There a Settlement?
A class action filed in the U.S. District Court (Case No. 1:23-cv-01420-JPH-MG) alleges that American Income Life Insurance Co. violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by placing telemarketing calls to numbers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry. The company denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid the cost and uncertainty of further litigation.

What is the lawsuit about?
Plaintiffs allege the insurer placed multiple telemarketing calls to numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, violating the TCPA. The company denies these claims but agreed to a settlement.

You must provide the Claimant ID sent to you by the settlement administrator and list the phone number(s) that received the calls. No additional proof is required at this time.

What happens if I do nothing?
If you take no action, you will not receive money from the settlement and you will give up the right to sue American Income Life Insurance Co. separately over the same TCPA claims.
Can I opt out or object?
Yes. You may exclude yourself or file an objection by the November 25 2025 deadline. Excluding yourself preserves your right to sue separately; objecting allows you to remain in the class while telling the court why you disagree with the settlement.
