Reason for the NatureBest & H-E-B Salmonella Recall

Coast Citrus Distributors supplied the fresh jalapeños used in these items. Those peppers have been epidemiologically linked to a multi-state Salmonella Javiana outbreak (345 illnesses in 27 states). Out of caution, every finished product that contains these jalapeños—and was sold between July 3 and August 5, 2026—is included in the recall.
