FDA Recall: Made Fresh Salads & Northside Deli Salads and Cream Cheese Recalled for Listeria

Made Fresh Salads, Inc. of Bay Shore, NY has voluntarily recalled every variety of its ready-to-eat deli salads and cream cheese sold under the “Made Fresh Salads” and “Northside” brands. The products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that can cause serious or fatal infections. Consumers in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and greater New York City who purchased these items with expiration dates from September 3 – 18, 2023 should stop using them immediately and return them for a full refund.

Reason for the Made Fresh Salads & Northside recall

During routine environmental sampling, areas of the manufacturing facility tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. Although no illnesses have been reported, the company has halted production and distribution while working with FDA investigators.
